For those of you who don't know who Eli Miller is, I will start with a bit of background:
Todd believes in accountability and partnership, so he is a member of a local church in Abbottsford, British Columbia as well as having an apolostolic board to which he has made himself accountable. Eli Miller is an associate minister at Global Harvest Center and on Fresh Fire's apostolic board, as well as being one of Todd's accountability partners. He also moves very powerfully in inner healing and deliverance and walked with Todd through his "dark night of the soul" time as God was ministering inner healing to Todd.
Eli taught on deliverance. He looked at how Pharaoh's reactions to Mose and the power of God progressively shows the enemies tactics in the process of deliverance:
Exo 5:2 -- Who is God that I should obey his voice.. I do not know him. The first level of deliverance is Salvation. Not just the initial prayer, but the need to bring every area of our life to submisison to the saving work of Jesus. You can be saved and still have areas of your life that are not "saved" (delivered from the molestation of the enemy). This happens when you do not believe that you are complete in Christ and instead believe the enemy's lies. Eve fell into this trap, satan planted a seed of doubt that God had her best at heart and she felt that she needed the apple to be complete. When we sin through drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, greed, etc, we are saying "I am not complete in Christ, I require _____ to be complete." It is only when we realize that we ARE complete in Christ that we can truly overcome the areas of sin in our lives. Warning: The devil will TRY to stop you from coming into this revelation, you don't have to let him though :-) When things seem to be getting worse, just realize that the devil is afraid that you are coming into freedom, the best way to meet this attack is with praise because you will know that you are close to your breakthrough.
Exo 8:25 -- The enemy will say "Ok, you can be free, but don't get crazy, don't get radical, stay close to your place of bondage." Pharaoh didn't want Israel leaving their place of captivity, "sacrifice to your God here in the land". God's plan for Israel was that they COMPLETELY leave Egypt (bondage) and go to the promised land (freedom, a country of their own, a home). That is God's plan for you, that you COMPLETELY leave behind your bondage, that you get radical, and radically depart from your place of bondage / sin.
Exo 10:8 -- The next step the enemy takes is saying "Who will go?" The enemy will let you go, but he won't let you have your household. He will try to keep your kids, your spouse, your grandchildren. But you see, God's plan was for EVERYONE to go free. The devil will try to keep your kids, but God's promise was for ALL of Israel to go free, and his plan for you is just the same.
Exo 10:24 -- The enemy will then try to keep your provision, your finances, etc. The enemy will let you go, and will let your family go, but he won't let your finances go, he doesn't want you helping fund the kingdom of God, he doesn't want you to have the money you need for your ministry, etc. But God's plan for Israel was total deliverance, ALL of their supply, their finances, their provision was to go with them and that is still God's plan for you today!
Finally, God dealt such a strong blow to Pharaoh that Pharaoh threw Moses out of Egypt, and Israel left, having plundered Egypt of its riches.
Eli also talked about deliverance from fear:
Fear is like faith, it is an expectation that something will happen. But unlike Faith, which believes for only good things to happen, fear is the expectation of bad. Fear tries to make the devil look bigger than God. If we put our faith in the devil (fear) and not in God (faith), then we will be in bondage to fear.
Eli went on to perform a mass deliverance over the crowd to deliver them from fear. It was powerful and many people reported feeling the fear leave (I was one of them, I suddenly realized that it was over, that something left, and joy came). For the record (because I don't like it when people say what happened, but not how it happened), Eli had everyone pray and repent of believing in fear and not in God, Renounce fear, Reject fear, and then command fear to obey and leave when commanded. He then commanded the fear to leave. Eli said the secret to mass deliverance (because some people have a problem with it) is knowing who you are, not being afraid of the devil, and having faith in God's promise, Word, and provision.
Eli then went on to talk about generational curses and how curses also keep us in bondage. He looked at Abraham and how he said that his wife was his sister, and so did his son, Isaac. Then Isaac's son, Jacob, lied about who he was and stole his brother's blessing. All of Jacob's sons (except Joseph, obviously) lied about what happened to Joseph. There was a generational curse of lying on their family. But if God calls Abraham, a man that lied, blessed, then there is hope for you and me!!
Eli then led everyone through a prayer for release from generational curses, commanded the curses broken, and people began to react. They began to shout, laugh, cry, and some took off running around the building as they were realised into freedom. Eli said that he felt a roar of the Lion of Judah and let out a shout and the place erupted!! The shout that came out of the people, the sense of total freedom, the celebration, it was awesome. The sense of victory, freedom, the storm clouds rolling away was so powerfully evident that I took off running around the building too. It was so liberating!!
Many people came forward to testify to how they were impacted, how they felt the fear leave, and how they now felt different. Such as no more stage fear (they were up on stage, talking, laughing, they seemed very comfortable up there), many actually felt the demons leaving, one person was delivered of the fear of driving, and many more.
It was an awesome night of deliverance!!
